An interesting engine here. It is based on the well known Foster to the Live Steam Models design but has a number of freelance features. In some respects it is in fact over engineered, for example the smokebox has the advantage of being heavy gauge steel (no danger of any "wheelies" here). Consequently will last and give pleasure for many years. Single cylinder with Stephensons valve gear and pole reverser on the footplate. Boiler feed is by crankshaft driven water pump with by-pass, injector and just in case all else fails a hand operated hand pump! Steel boiler with expanded in steel tubes. It is fitted with strakes which makes it look authentic and of course give better grip on the usually wet (if the last two years is anything to go by!) British rallyfield. As with the LSM Foster the large boiler steams exceptionally well and as such is very easy to keep in steam for long periods. It has very good boiler reports and all test certificates going back to April 2005. This engine is offered at a very reasonable price for a 4" scale engine. It is a powerful easy to steam engine and would be ideal for someone as a first larger scale engine or for someone who is upgrading from the smaller scales. Length: 72" Height: 44" Width: 31" Weight: approx 8cwt empty £13995.00For more information or to book a test steam, speak to Sean or Michael
