One of the well designed Fosters built from LSM castings and based on Foster 6nhp engine number CT 6708. This engine was re-tubed two years ago ( all CoC's supplied ) and has not seen much use since.

As with most Fosters, it is a very free steaming engine. Single cylinder with Stephensons valve gear actuated by pole reverser from the footplate. Boiler feed is by injector and crankshaft driven water pump, and it is fitted with the correct Foster design governors. There is also a winch on the nearside hind wheel feeding through tender mounted fairleads.

The engine is fitted with rubber tyres and is road registered. I ran a Foster for some years and they are always a pleasant engine to steam and drive on the rallyfield or on the road.
