Here is a particularly nicely engineered Foster built by a professional engineer. Built to the well known Bill Newcombe design from castings supplied by Live Steam Models. The boiler was built by Harry Holt and was re-tubed 3 years ago with thick walled copper tubes.

Slide valve actuated by Stephenson valve gear and pole reverser on the footplate. Feed is by injector and crankshaft driven water pump with by-pass. Two speed gearing with differential and a winch drum is fitted to the nearside hind wheel.

The engine is fitted with rubbers and is registered for road use. It comes complete with firing tools, extension chimney, spark arrester and driving seat. There is also a passenger wagon with storage compartments and an aluminium water tank built in. 

The engine has been extremely well maintained by its builder owner and looks and steams better then many newer engines.
