Markie Showmans engine SOLD

We have just taken in this rather nice little Markie Showmans Road Locomotive in 1/10th scale. Designed by Tony Pearce of Hampshire, the Showmans is one of a number of live steam traction engines he produces in this scale. This particular example is complete with working dynamo powering the canopy lights. The neat little water cart is the gas container with associated pipework connecting to the burner in the firebox. There is a grate so this engine could be converted to run on coal if required.

This engine has only been steamed a couple of times as it has spent the majority of its life as an attractive "ornament", therefore it is almost as new. 2 speed gearing, sprung front axle, Stephensons valve gear actuated by pole reverser on the footplate. Mechanical water pump with by-pass valve.

This is ready to run and much fun can be enjoyed steaming these little engines without the expense and extra work involved in running the larger engines.
