During the last few weeks the engine has come on leaps and bounds. The lagging has been fitted and the engine gone away for lining.
After that it was taken down to Trago to be finished off by Dave Nicholson. He has fitted a hand pump into the tender and gone round generally checking the engine was ready. Unfortunately there was a problem with the cylinder block which has been rectified and now he faces another problem in that the flywheel only turns backwards due to problems with timing on the slide valve.

The engine is set to be finished approximately one week after Devon County Show. So the engine will be ready for Powderham in July and then the following shows during the rest of the season.
Meanwhile whilst the engine has been lined and commissioned, I have painted the trailer in the correct colour scheme as well as the name plates arriving and as we speak are being cut out and generally finished.
There will be the final update in a few weeks when the engine is completed, but after that I will continue posting pictures of it working at the various shows throughout the season.
