Camborne Trevithick Day
The newly serviced General along with a 6" Foden Lorry were on parade at Camborne to celebrate Trevithick Day on Saturday 26th April.
The weather was very wet in the morning but we still took part in the morning's procession through the town in company with brass bands, dancers and large crowds of onlookers braving the rain.
Before the afternoon's parade we generated outside the Lowanec Hotel for about three hours. With the rain relenting a little the afternoon was thoroughly enjoyable with another procession through Camborne along with the all the music and street entertainers making it another very successful Trevithick Day
This popular annual event honours Camborne's industrial heritage and town hero Richard Trevithick, the pioneer of high-pressure steam power.
