We are pleased to have been commissioned to sell this 'working clothes' example of a British agricultural icon.
With the distinctive sounding two-stroke single cylinder diesel engine producing smoke rings above the fields, the Series 2 Field Marshalls were introduced in 1947 as an upgrade to the already popular Series 1 model. The Field Marshall proved especially popular with the farming contractors, owing to their famous reliability and due to their notable suitability for stationary work.
We have been asked to advertise for sale this example in the photographed condition. Known by the owner as 'Felicity Madison', it is presented in full working order. A stunning tractor which is a pleasure to see in this condition. The original logbook has sadly gone missing over the years and so it is currently not registered for the road; we are certain this would be a relatively simple challenge to overcome.
Overall, a fantastic piece of agricultural machinery which would stand out on the rally field and would be good fun for use on the road.
