We are delighted to offer for sale, on behalf of the owner, this working clothes Field Marshall Series 2.
Believed to have been supplied new to Africa, this Field Marshall is unidentifiable due to there being no visible numbers but would’ve dated from the late 1940s. In more recent years, it was brought to the UK and acquired by the current owner in a poor state. Since then, it has had a complete engine rebuild and now runs well. The owner opted to leave the tractor in its working clothes which gives it a hard-to-find patina. Whilst not perfect, this is a remarkably original tractor which shows the scars of a hard life. The front tyres have been replaced recently but the rear tyres have not so would need attention before it was used seriously.
This example is the agricultural specification with the low top gear. Unusually, it is fitted with a rear PTO drive. A starting handle is included although in recent years the owner has opted to start it via the cartridge start.
