Currently offered for sale on behalf of the owner is this original, recently restored GWR Railway Luggage Wagon.
Believed to be from Bovey Tracey, Devon (just up the road from us!) this horse drawn wagon was used around the turn of the century to transport passengers’ luggage to their homes.
The wagon has artillery wheels, a seat for the driver and a hand brake that works with rods to the drum brakes. It has been protected with primer but hasn’t been totally finished.
It would be ideal for hauling behind a suitable steam engine or similar!
