A wonderfully preserved piece of Barnes Bros history; this living van was originally one of four ordered from Taskers of Andover by Sarah Barnes in around 1928 to work alongside their fleet of new Aveling & Porter steam rollers. This one came to us with recently sold Aveling & Porter No. 14000 which was one of the fleet with which this living van originally belonged.

Presented in seemingly originally, but solid, condition. This one has inevitably had work over the years (the paperwork suggests work was conducted in 1997) but is today presented with the character expected of a 90+ year old living van. The exterior is looking a little worse for wear however the structure and interior, on a quick cursory once over, looks to be sound. The history is very much a part of this van, right down to the Barnes Bros name cast into the spoked wheel hubs!
