Miniature Road Steam

Offered for sale is a beautifully finished example of the popular miniature from Steam Traction World. The single crank compound gives owners the chance to operate an engine which is a little elevated above the standard single cylinder without running a fully-fledged compound road locomotive! This recently finished example has seen very little use, just enough to have bedded it in across a few shows, so is offered for sale at its prime.

Key Features:

• Steel boiler commercially made by Steam Traction World. The current boiler report is commercial (by our usual inspector) and is valid until September 2025. The 10-yearly hydraulic was last conducted in May 2023. This means, aside from a quick check over, this engine is ready for immediate handover!
• Two-speed, single crank compound cylinder arrangement. Slide valve actuated by Stephenson’s linkage.
• Mechanical water pump and injector fitted for filling the boiler when in steam, as standard. 
• Mechanical lubricator, steam whistle and locomotive type pressure release valves. It is also fitted with dummy governors.
• Mechanically, the engine has been built to an excellent standard using the high-quality kits from well-known supplier, Steam Traction World. It stands well and looks smart on rubber tyres in its distinctive livery. It has been maintained nicely and a year or so of use means the seller has had the opportunity to iron out the vast majority of those ‘new engine niggles’ common with new builds.
• Cosmetically, it is painted in a striking livery which has been skillfully applied and shows off this engine at its very best.
• It is fitted with rubber tyres and is registered for use on the road.

Overall, a nicely presented miniature which has been assembled and finished to a high standard.
