Miniature Road Steam

We are pleased to offer for sale, on behalf of the owner, this beautifully finished half size Foden SWB Steam Lorry. Built to a high standard using kits from Steam Traction World, it is impossible to fault the assembly and versatility of this engine. The paperwork suggests the boiler was made in 2016 and has been tested regularly by a commercial inspector since. Thickness reports suggest this boiler is as new.

Key Features:

• The boiler is a commercially made, welded steel boiler by Steam Traction World. It was built to a high standard and has been maintained well. Please speak to us about boiler testing options going forward.
• Three-speed, compound arrangement with slide valves actuated by a Stephenson’s links.
• Mechanical water pump and steam injector fitted for filling the boiler when in steam, as standard.
• Foster mechanical lubricator, steam whistle and pressure release valves.
• Well-built to a consistently robust standard throughout and maintained to a high standard.
• Short wheelbase lorry with cast wheels and solid rubber tyres. A stout machine which has a comfortable driving position and sits nicely.
• The paint is simply superb. The blue is remarkably well-finished and doesn’t show a single day of wear… we are really quite taken by the finish of this one!
• This one is registered for road use with a current V5C (19 plate).
• Includes a half-day tuition session, if requested by the buyer. 

Overall, a wonderfully presented half-size steam lorry which has been built well and maintained to a high standard.
