A lovely example of a D. R. Mercer 3/4 inch scale Showman’s Road Locomotive Live Steam Engine. Assembled from kit form but finished to the highest of standards, this Showman’s Engine is fitted with an extended firebox/gas conversion unit originally supplied by Cheddar Models.
A good step up from the Mamod and Wilesco ranges, the model is nicely lined with “Rosie Lee” nameplates and makes for a superb display model. It runs nicely on air and has evidently seen some use though has not been tested on steam pressure for the purpose of this sale. Unfortunately, the model does not come with any paperwork.
Overall, a great miniature model and display engine from a brand of models which are becoming increasingly sought after!
We consider this a small-scale miniature so wouldn’t typically include boiler testing or our usual warranty within the price however would be happy to check it over prior to dispatch. This does not affect your statutory rights as a buyer.
